Team retrospectives with anonymous cards and voting
Collect what the team really thinks, group it, vote, and leave with a ranked list of what to act on.
Four stages, one board
- Collect: everyone writes cards into your columns and sees only their own, so nobody is steered by the first loud opinion.
- Group: the cards are revealed and you merge the similar ones.
- Vote: each person has a limited number of votes. Only the organizer sees the counts until voting ends.
- Results: a ranked list of cards and groups, for everyone.
Anonymous where it matters
Card authors are never shown, to the team or to the organizer. Writing and voting can each have a time limit, so the meeting keeps its pace.
Good for
- Sprint retrospectives in agile teams, in the room or remote.
- Project post-mortems and lessons-learned sessions.
- Any meeting where you need honest input and a short list of priorities.
Keep the outcome
Download the ranked results as a PDF or PowerPoint and attach them to your sprint notes. Participants open a link or scan a QR code on their phones. There is no app to install and no account to create.
Questions and answers
Are retrospective cards really anonymous?
Yes. Card authors are never shown — not to the team and not to the organizer.
Does the team need accounts?
No. Only the organizer has an account; the team joins by link or QR code.
Are there retrospective templates?
Yes: Start, Stop, Continue; Mad, Sad, Glad; and the 4Ls, on the templates page. Copy one into your account and run it as it is or change the columns.
Is Votumio free?
Small sessions are free and need no card. You pay only for a bigger audience, more images per question or a longer history — once for a single event or as a subscription; the pricing page has the details.
